Cases (3 in Shanghai, 2 in Fujian, 2 in Guangdong, and 2 in Sichuan); no new deaths; no new suspected cases.
On the same day, 35 new cases were cured and discharged, and 1,286 close contacts were released from medical observation. The severe cases were the same as the previous day.
There are 188 confirmed cases imported from abroad (including 4 severe cases), and there are no existing suspected cases. A total of 2,473 confirmed cases, a total of 2,285 cured and discharged cases, and no deaths.
As of 24:00 on August 28, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are currently 262 confirmed cases (including 4 severe cases), a total of 80,126 cured and discharged cases, and a total of 4634 deaths. A total of 85,022 confirmed cases have been reported, and there are no existing suspected cases. A total of 814,433 close contacts have been traced, and 9,148 close contacts are still under medical observation.
