Forest fire services extinguished 18 wildfires in Russia per day

"According to information from regional forestry dispatch services, over the past 24 hours on August 27, 18 forest fires were liquidated in Russia on an area of ​​1,168 hectares," the department said.

By the end of the day, 74 forest fires were active in Russia, which were actively extinguished. 

Earlier it was reported that the northern aviation center Avialesokhrana is planned to be created in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in order to fight fires in the Arctic zone.
