Egypt ... 223 new cases of "Corona" and 20 deaths

On Friday, the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced the registration of 223 new cases of the emerging coronavirus, and 20 deaths, down from 237 cases and 25 deaths on Thursday.

Ministry spokesman Khaled Mujahid said that “the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today, Friday, is 98285 cases, including 70,419 cases that have been cured, and 5,362 deaths.”

He added that the ministry “continues to raise its preparations in all governorates of the republic, follow the situation first-hand regarding the Corona virus, and take all necessary preventive measures against any viruses or infectious diseases.”

In mid-March, Egypt imposed general isolation measures to combat the spread of the virus, including night curfews, banning large public gatherings, and closing restaurants, theaters and cinemas. But it has lifted most of these measures since late June.
