A majority of French people (55%) still have a good opinion of Prime Minister Jean Castex, and the popularity of President Emmanuel Macron is increasing (44%, +5 points) even if he remains unpopular with 55% of French people (-6 points), according to a BVA poll released on Friday.
Macron less and less popular among PS and LREM supporters
The French are a minority (44%) to have a good opinion of Emmanuel Macron, but this popularity increases by 5 points, especially among LR sympathizers (+22 points to 57%), while it falls among PS sympathizers (27%, -15 points), according to this study carried out for Orange and RTL.
Good opinions towards the Head of State are crumbling among supporters of his LREM party (96%, -2 points). The Head of State "seems to continue to reap the benefits of the reshuffle and the appointment of Jean Castex (at the head of the government) with his supporters," says the institute. In addition, his visit to Beirut at the beginning of August "will undoubtedly have enabled him to regain some credit".

The popularity of Jean Castex progresses especially on the right among the supporters LR (80%, +11 points) as well as at LREM (92%, +2 points), but plummets among those of the PS (38%, -18 points) - even if it advances by 4 points among supporters of the left outside the PS--, and drops among those of the RN (35%, -9 points).
Asked whether they feel insecure, 70% of French people respond "often" or "from time to time" (+25 points compared to February 2018) and 30% say that they feel "rarely" »Or« never »in insecurity.
Survey carried out on August 26 and 27 by internet with a sample of 1,002 people representative of the French population aged 18 and over, according to the quota method, with a margin of error of 1.4 to 3.1 points .
