He is suspected of having shot a security guard in a supermarket in Roubaix, in the North, during an altercation. A man in his twenties, wanted since the end of June, was arrested in Lille, the Lille prosecutor said on Thursday in a statement.

Wanted for attempted homicide and theft in a meeting, he was arrested on Monday afternoon in the station square by police officers from the Interdepartmental Service for the Security of Public Transport (SISTC) who recognized him. Placed in pre-trial detention, he will be tried on September 30.
On June 26, a security guard in a Roubaix supermarket was shot and wounded in an altercation involving six people. Two suspects had been arrested and taken into police custody. The man suspected of having fired shots had since been wanted.
