Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni announced yesterday that he decided to make tomorrow, August 29, 2020, an official holiday and a national day of prayer in order to get rid of the Coronavirus pandemic, based on a vision he had in a dream, which sparked a debate on communication sites between supporters and opponents.

President Museveni said in two tweets that a Ugandan came to him in a dream and told him that God is asking him to establish a national day of prayers in the country in which the faithful invites the Creator to save them from the "Covid-19" virus.

The Ugandan President added that accordingly, he decided to make tomorrow an official holiday in the country to hold prayers, calling Ugandans to perform the prayers in their homes or residential compounds.

Therefore, by the powers given to the President of Uganda by Section 2 (2) of the Public Holidays Act, I declare the 29th of August 2020, a day of National Prayers and a Public Holiday. Stay in your houses or Compounds and pray. pic.twitter.com/9Zl5RNnlR1

Despite the mockery of some of the tweeters at the president's tweet, Museveni's decision won the admiration of a number of Ugandan tweeters for adding a new official vacation to the official holidays in the country.

Some of the singers demanded the extension of the national day of prayer, to be three days instead of one day because one day is not sufficient for prayer, according to some of them.

While other tweeters asked whether the vision had mentioned that the Ugandan president should leave power, after 34 years of assuming the presidency of the country ?!
