In detail, the department has set eight conditions within the procedures for reopening nurseries in the emirate, which nursery administrations must adhere to, including the participation of all workers in a mandatory remote training course on Corona prevention measures, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, and identifying health and safety officials and training them regarding Precautionary measures, the provision of a nurse in the nursery to maintain a safe environment and reduce health risks, and the families of the children to ensure their health and safety before going to the nursery, and inform the staff in the event of any symptoms.

The rest of the conditions set by the department included a daily check-up to measure the temperature and health status of workers and children, the implementation of strict sterilization, hygiene and hand-washing guidelines, with the support of care officials in the nursery, and periodic inspection visits to the health and safety team to verify that each nursery complies with the procedures for Coronavirus. In addition, it is not allowed to receive children with health symptoms.

The department pointed out that the distribution of children within the nursery will be made into small groups, so that one group cannot accommodate more than eight children for those under two years, and 10 children for those between two and four years old.

While the approved protocol for reopening nurseries in the country, issued by the Ministry of Education and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, indicated the need to implement a set of precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of children and workers, including temperature measurement, and regulating the movement of staff and students' entry to the nursery, It is mandatory for all workers to conduct a laboratory examination and determine its periodicity, so that the examination is repeated every two weeks, in addition to following up the health status of children and staff in the nursery.

The protocol stressed the need to apply sterilization and general hygiene procedures related to the operation of nurseries and taking into account the physical spacing of 1.5 meters, in addition to the density ratio in each group of 3.5 square meters, and to determine the maximum limit for each group for the safety of everyone, pointing to the development of a special mechanism for the use and sterilization of toys and not to circulate them. Between groups, and with regard to food, meals will be provided by parents.

The Ministry of Education confirmed that it and the rest of the educational authorities will ensure the readiness of nurseries and childcare centers and the extent to which the requirements mentioned in the national protocol are applied, and inspect nurseries periodically to ensure the implementation of precautionary and preventive measures and impose penalties on any violating institution.
