Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo won the best goal award last season in the UEFA Champions League.

The official website of the European Football Association (UEFA) stated that the second goal scored by the 35-year-old Ronaldo for his team, Juventus, against French Lyon, won the referendum to choose the best goal in the Champions League, and 400,000 fans voted in it.

Despite Juventus winning at home 2-1, scored by Ronaldo, he was eliminated from the final eighth round of the tournament, after applying the scoring rule outside the stadium, where Lyon won 1-0 in the first leg.

Ronaldo is the historic top scorer in the UEFA Champions League with 130 goals, and he is the one who has scored the most goals in one edition with 17 goals.

The goal of "Leipzig" star Marcel Sabitzer against Russian Zenit came second, and Juventus player Juan Cuadrado scored against Atletico Madrid in third place, while Barcelona star Luis Suarez's goal came against Inter Milan fourth, and Gnabry's goal was against Lyon fifth.
