The General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police announced the launch of an initiative to reduce the accumulated traffic violations committed during the year 2019 and before, by 50%, with the cancellation of the vehicle reservation, provided that it will start from the first of September until the first of next October, with the exception of violations classified under the heading of serious violations.
She explained that the initiative comes in implementation of the Ministry of Interior's strategy aimed at imposing the rule of law to control road security, and within the framework of Ras Al Khaimah Police's initiatives aimed at making community members happy with all its segments.
She indicated that the initiative aims to support dealers from the public of drivers, to motivate them to comply with traffic and traffic laws, and to encourage them to pay the consequent and accumulated traffic violations that allow them to renew their cars and reduce the financial burdens on them, in light of the negative repercussions that the whole world is witnessing. She explained that the customers will receive the discount during the payment electronically through the application of the Ministry of Interior, while they must visit the nearest service center in the country for violations that contain traffic points to be added to the driving license, so that they can then pay it electronically.
The initiative excludes serious violations, represented in driving a vehicle in a way that endangers the life, safety and security of its driver or others, driving a heavy vehicle in a manner that endangers the lives, safety and security of its drivers and others, driving a noisy vehicle, in addition to running away from a traffic policeman.
This initiative is a continuation of the sustainable and continuous initiative to reduce traffic violations launched by the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police five years ago, specifically in 2015, in order to enhance traffic safety on the roads.
Ras Al Khaimah Police called on owners of violating vehicles to take advantage of the specified period of time, and to expedite the legal settlement of their traffic conditions, with the aim of ensuring traffic safety for all members of the community, to contribute to the success of the permanent and continuous efforts of Ras Al Khaimah Police in launching many initiatives that enhance the quality of life For the purpose of achieving safety and security and preserving the safety and property of community members.
