“Volodymyr Zelenskyy gave detailed information on the state of negotiations on the end of the war in Donbass and progress towards peace in the Minsk and Normandy formats. The US Undersecretary of State called it a great achievement to maintain a comprehensive and complete ceasefire for 31 days, ”the press service of the Ukrainian President's Office said.
The parties discussed issues of US financial and military assistance to Ukraine, as well as the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
“Speaking about international politics, Stephen Bigan very highly appreciated Ukraine’s position regarding non-interference in the American elections,” the Zelensky office said.
Bigan and Zelensky also agreed on the need to stabilize and peacefully resolve the situation in Belarus.
Earlier, Zelensky held telephone conversations with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
