United States: curfew and national guard in Kenosha after another police "blunder"

For the second night in a row protests were held in Kenosha on Monday, August 24, a town south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Originally, a new police "blunder" against an African-American. Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back by a white policeman.

Despite a 20-hour curfew, hundreds of people gathered in front of the Kenosha courthouse. To the throwing of bottles, the police responded with tear gas.
In this town in Wisconsin, on the edge of Lake Michigan, 200 members of the National Guard were called in to help channel the overflows.
On Sunday afternoon, a Kenosha policeman fired 7 rounds at point blank range in the back of Jacob Blake as he entered his car where three of his children were already seated. The scene, filmed , resulted in a first night of violence the same day with car fires and attacks on the court and a police building.
Jacob Blake in stable condition
This Monday, demonstrations of support for Jacob Blake were held in Madison, the capital of Wisconsin, but also in Minneapolis and New York.
Jacob Blake, 29, has undergone emergency surgery and is in a stable situation at Milwaukee Hospital.
Police officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave during the investigation, the Wisconsin Justice Department said on Monday.
