The Dubai Health Authority has completed the first phase of the expansion and development of the emergency department at Dubai Hospital, which it implements within a comprehensive and integrated policy for all the components of its services, with its various medical facilities and specialized departments.

The expansion and development works come in response to the growing demand for the services of the emergency department, which receives more than 8,000 cases per month, and the authority aims to provide 50 beds equipped with the best technologies and supplies used internationally in the field of emergency.

The modernization and development work is carried out according to two tracks, the first is to add more resuscitation rooms equipped with the latest technologies and medical devices, for first aid and critical cases, as well as a fully equipped ward for women and childbirth emergencies, while the second track includes allocating additional rooms for emergency cases in general.

The development work is based on restructuring patient rooms, examination rooms, resuscitation rooms, and cardiac monitoring. Special entrances will be provided for patients brought by ambulances and others for patients brought by their relatives.
