“According to the preliminary decision of the department, the first helicopter will be delivered in 2022 and sent to the Krasnoyarsk Integrated Aviation Rescue Center to work on the prevention and elimination of emergencies,” the agency said.
The decision on the further purchase of helicopters of this class will be made based on the efficiency estimates of the first sample.
The Mi-26T2V is an improved version of the Soviet Mi-26 helicopter, which has earned the status of a world record holder in terms of carrying capacity - the machine is capable of lifting up to 20 tons of cargo into the air. No other helicopter in the world has such a quality.
The production of the Mi-26T2V helicopter is scheduled for 2021.
