IAEA top discusses Iran inspections August 26, 7:26

The IAEA, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency's top secretary-general Grossi, who visits Iran, will meet with Secretary of Salehi Nuclear Energy and Foreign Minister Zarif in succession to see if Iran will accept inspections of some of its facilities. Is the focus.

The IAEA top Secretary General, Glossi, visited Iran for the first time since taking office in December last year and met with the Secretary of the Saleh Nuclear Agency on the 25th. Iran refused to inspect the IAEA at two domestic facilities suspected of storing undeclared nuclear material, and the matter was discussed at a meeting.

After the meeting, Secretary General Grossi posted on Twitter that he was "working to reach an agreement" and was eager to resolve the issue. On the other hand, Secretary Salehi stressed that "a new chapter of cooperation with the IAEA has begun" and emphasized his relationship with the IAEA, but he did not say whether to accept the inspection.

After that, Secretary General Grossi will meet with Foreign Minister Zarif and will meet with President Rouhani on the 26th, focusing on whether the Iranian side will accept the inspection.

Regarding Iran, sanctions from the international community were lifted in return for restricting nuclear development in the 2015 nuclear agreement, but the Trump administration of the United States, who has unilaterally withdrew from the agreement, refused to inspect. He has repeatedly denounced Iran and pressured him to restore UN sanctions.
