The Italian stock exchange is aligned with the Paris and Frankfurt lists; slightly less bright London.
And it was from Germany that data arrived that helped to maintain today's positive orientation.
German GDP in the second quarter fell by 9.70% compared to the first. This is obviously a very negative figure, but slightly better than the preliminary estimates.
And at 10 am, the Ifo confidence index in Germany arrived. The August figure was up and just above expectations, at 92.6.
All sectors are on the rise in Piazza Affari. Among the individual stocks in evidence is Cattolica Assicurazioni (+ 1.37%). Yesterday the court of Venice rejected an appeal from some shareholders and therefore the capital increase of 500 million is going ahead, which will be subscribed for 300 million by Generali. Generali which today is among the best titles of the Ftse Mib today (+ 1.82%).
Futures anticipating the opening on Wall Street are positive. Yesterday there was a record for the S&P 500 indices and for the Nasdaq, the market for tech stocks. The reason is the news arrived over the weekend about the green light in the United States for a cure with plasma against Covid-19 and about the possible early introduction of a vaccine, also in the United States. News that prevailed over the negative ones: like the first confirmed case of reinfection from the virus, in Hong Kong.

An expected high-level phone call between the United States and China on trade negotiations took place overnight. Chinese Vice Premier Liu He, US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer spoke on phase 1 of the negotiations between China and the US.  

A plus sign today for Tokyo and for the Seoul index, and this despite the government having decided to close most of the schools in the South Korean capital due to the increase in infections.

Oil prices rose yesterday due to two tropical storms in the Gulf of Mexico. Today the price has stabilized at around $ 45 a barrel for North Sea Brent.
