While carrying out his household refuse collection tour in the town of Mirandol-Bourgnounac, in the north of Tarn, a garbage collector was violently struck by a car while he was in the back of the garbage truck.
The firefighters of the Tarn departmental rescue service, as well as the Samu, were alerted shortly before 10:30 am of the accident at the locality "Les Abrabies". When they arrived there, they tried in vain to resuscitate the 30-year-old ripper, in vain.
The driver of the car, aged 85, was injured and transported to the Claude-Bernard clinic in Albi, according to the firefighters of Tarn. The driver of the garbage truck for the Carmausin-Ségala community of communes was not injured.
