The Integrated Transport Center in Abu Dhabi has completed the first phase of a project to provide free internet access on public transport buses in the emirate, and it included 520 buses, including 410 buses in Abu Dhabi and 110 in Al Ain.
This comes as part of the project launched by the center in cooperation with the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (Du), to provide Internet service on public transport buses in the emirate, which aims to make bus users happy by enhancing the quality of services provided to them.
The center explained that the project, which is equipped with the latest digital technologies, adds a new dimension to the quality of the public transport services system, as it comes within the framework of efforts to improve the quality of services provided to users of public transport, especially bus users, and to provide all needs that raise their level of satisfaction and achieve happiness for them.
He pointed out that the Internet service in the public transport sector enables bus users to interact and communicate through their accounts on the Internet, and to achieve maximum benefit during their journey on the bus, by following up their work and completing their tasks through their phones and smart devices, quickly, easily and efficiently.
The center added that the work on the implementation of the project stems from its keenness to enhance its digital transformation process, which aims to establish a smart, safe and sustainable transport environment, and to provide government services according to the highest quality levels that keep pace with the aspirations and visions of the leadership and meet the needs and aspirations of customers, and support the trends towards achieving the goals The smart system for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in a way that supports the comprehensive development that the emirate is witnessing and ensures its sustainability.
