For the German government, it is “quite likely” that the Russian opponent Alexeï Navalny, now hospitalized in Germany, was poisoned, the government spokesman announced on Monday.

The 44-year-old opponent was placed in intensive care at the emergency hospital in Omsk (Siberia) last Thursday after feeling unwell on a plane. His entourage immediately denounced poisoning.

The Russian hospital where the opponent was admitted on Thursday gave the green light to his transport to Germany on Friday, saying his condition was "stable", after initially opposing it.
