August 23, 2020 Former South Korean diplomat Chang Song-min told Seoul media that North Korea leader Kim Jong-un is in a coma and his power is now in the hands of his sister Kim Yo-jong. even if it is not yet considered his successor.

Former advisor to South Korean President Kim Dae-jung puts forward this hypothesis by presenting as evidence the decision, communicated by the South Korean spy agency, that Kim would establish a new command system in which he shares his authority with some of his own trusted advisors.

For the Seoul National Intelligence Agency, however, the reform is not linked to any health problems of the leader. "No North Korean leader would entrust any of his authority to another person unless he is too sick to rule or has been removed in a coup," Chang Song-min insisted.
