23 August 2020Record of infections in France in the last 24 hours: 4,897 new positive diagnoses, compared to 3,602 the day before, according to data published by the health authorities of Santé Publique France.The percentage of positive tests continues to increase slightly, to 3.6% (3.5% on Saturday). 32 new outbreaks were detected. In total, 4,709 people are still hospitalized with Covid-19 infection, a slightly lower figure (4,711 on Saturday, 4,745 on Friday).
The number of patients in intensive care (383) is slightly up compared to Saturday (380) and there has been a further death, bringing the number of deaths since the beginning of the epidemic in France to 30,513 people.
