According to the website of Gansu Provincial Emergency Management Department, in view of the recent continuous rainfall in some areas of Gansu Province, floods and geological disasters in Longnan, Gannan, Dingxi and Tianshui have occurred frequently, causing serious losses and heavy disaster relief tasks. There are many difficulties and the situation is grim. The Gansu Provincial Government decided to upgrade the provincial natural disaster relief emergency response to level ll from 20:00 on August 22, 2020.
