Egypt announces that it has successfully passed the first wave of the Coronavirus

Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that Egypt has successfully passed the first wave of the emerging corona virus.

The Minister of Health and Population, Hala Zayed, said in statements to "Extra News" today, Saturday, that Egypt had succeeded in overcoming the first wave of the Corona virus, despite the absence of prior experience.

Hala Zayed indicated that there is no fear of facing the second wave, as the problem is not in managing the crisis in the case of the second wave, but the problem is the stopping of the economy and study.

The Minister of Health called on citizens and the media to emphasize adherence to the precautionary measures, explaining that, in coordination with the Minister of Education, the General Secondary and Azharian exams were successfully skipped, in addition to the Senate elections.

She emphasized that 100% of cases in Egypt have the ability to respond to treatment, noting that home isolation reduced the recovery period from the virus, as recovery became within eight or ten days.

The minister indicated that the decisive factor in the return of infections again to Egypt and their spread is the citizen, following up that the country that witnessed other spikes in the virus is due to the retreat of its citizens in taking precautionary measures, asking citizens to wear the muzzle, wash the hand and maintain the distance.

The Minister of Health added that there are 6 vaccines in the world that have reached the stage of clinical research, as the Ministry has worked with all companies producing these vaccines, including the Oxford vaccine, and has booked a suitable quantity for Egypt, in addition to the Chinese companies producing it.
