Relations between Bayern Munich and Paris SG have been tumultuous in recent years, especially during the time of hot President Uli Hoeness, who did not have his tongue in his pocket to criticize the spending policy of Parisians.

Anthology of recent passes, before the Champions League final between the two clubs on Sunday (9:00 p.m.):

- Hoeness attacks Qatar -

When the Qatari version of PSG paid Neymar 222 million in 2017, Uli Hoeness was strangled. "These crazy sums invested in the market are not necessarily a guarantee of sporting success," pointed out the manager, who has since left the presidency of the club.

"As far as I know, Neymar has not become a better player thanks to the sum of his transfer," he tackled, barely concealing his concern that the new rich in football relegate Bayern, a model rigorous management, in second category.

Club boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insisted on drawing a line between real aristocrats and upstarts: "It is not Bayern, Real Madrid or Barcelona who would spend so much. Only Paris and Manchester City dare to advocate such a policy . And nothing says that PSG will win the Champions League ... "

- Hoeness insults Bernat -

A year later, Bayern ceded Juan Bernat to Paris SG, at a loss. Bought 10 million in Valencia in 2014, the Spanish side is sold for five million. Hoeness is annoyed: "The good health of Bayern does not depend on our sale of Bernat to Paris SG", he blurted out in front of journalists.

Before delivering a memorable charge against Bernat: "When we played in Sevilla he was solely responsible for the fact that we were almost eliminated. The same day we decided to sell him. He did shit and he almost cost us our Champions League season! "

In the first leg of the 2018 round of 16, Bayern won 2-1 in Sevilla but Bernat was indeed released by Jupp Heynckes in the 34th minute.

Bernat had reacted serenely. "When I left Bayern, it was not a setback in my career," he repeated in recent days. PSG's European campaign in Lisbon proves him right, until the final at least.

- Hoeness castigates Henrique -

In 2018, the episode of Jérôme Boateng's failed transfer to Paris turned into vaudeville. Antero Henrique, at the time sports director of PSG, had reached an agreement with the German international.

It remained for Henrique to honor a meeting in Munich with his Bayern counterpart Hasan Salihamidzic, to conclude. But the meeting never took place. According to the German press (never denied by PSG), Henrique fell asleep at Munich airport and did not show up for the meeting. Furious, Salihamidzic called off the deal.

Hoeness blurted out: "I would give Paris Saint-Germain a piece of advice: change the sports director. This man does not give the club a good image. If PSG wants to become a world-class club, they cannot afford to have such a sports director ".

Paris followed the advice in 2019, recalling Leonardo, already in office for two years (2011-2013).

- Leonardo accuses the Germans -

In June, Bayern signed his first pro contra to Tanguy Nianzou Kouassi, a 17-year-old great prospect from the PSG training center, the Free Party of Paris. Parisian sports director Leonardo took it very badly.

"German clubs, mainly Bayern Munich, Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, attack young people and threaten French training. It's a big problem," he blasted: "They call parents, friends , the family, the player himself (...). At 15 or 16, they make young people's heads spin. "

And to point out the impotence of the French in the face of these situations: "It's terrible for the clubs because it puts us in complex situations where we have the choice between letting go or overpaying."

Immediate counterfire from Rummenigge: "Bayern Munich have never yet recruited a player in order to weaken one of their competitors. Our relations with PSG are very good. I very much appreciate my counterpart Nasser Al- Khelaïfi (...) Our contacts with Leonardo are also in good shape ". If Rummenigge says so ...
