The gradual worsening of the epidemiological situation in Madrid is beginning to draw a very hopeless horizon. For this reason, the Deputy Minister of Public Health and Covid-19 Plan, Antonio Zapatero, recommended yesterday that in the areas of the region with more cases "try to avoid unnecessary trips" and choose to "stay at home." For now, the one who was responsible for the temporary Ifema hospital dedicated to treating Covid patients rules out selective confinements, although they are not ruled out in the future.

"The current situation in Madrid does not warrant taking confinement measures by zones," said Zapatero after visiting the device for testing residents of Alcobendas, the municipality with the most cases of coronavirus in all of Madrid. According to Zapatero's recommendations, it is necessary to "avoid unnecessary meetings" and it is "absolutely recommended" that there are no more than ten people in the homes, as the Community of Madrid has been advising in recent days.

And it is that the cases continue to rise in the Community, which in the last 24 hours has registered twelve deaths and 1,004 infections, to which we must add another 2,878 positives with PCR test that date from previous days and were incorporated into the count yesterday.

Among the municipalities with the most infections in the region, and to which Zapatero directs his recommendations, are Alcobendas, with 362.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days; followed by Fuenlabrada, with 332; Parla, with 296.6, San Sebastián de los Reyes, with 285.2; Móstoles, with 253.4; and Torrejón de Ardoz, with 239.8.

Meanwhile, according to the epidemiological surveillance report of Covid-19 of the General Directorate of Public Health, Carabanchel, Puente de Vallecas and Usera are the districts of the capital with the highest incidence of coronavirus in the last seven days. In that period, 629 cases have been registered in Carabanchel and 516 in the Puente de Vallecas district, while Usera has recorded 405. They are followed by Villaverde (351), Latina (260) and Ciudad Lineal (241).

According to Zapatero, the Community is going to "make consultations" to establish more measures and recommendations "with legal backing" and related to mobility and "social activities", such as restaurants, which generate groups of people.

"Some measure may go there, as long as we have the support of justice," he added at the event in Alcobendas after it was learned that a Madrid contentious judge annulled the measures of Isabel Díaz Ayuso that prohibit smoking in the street and regulate the hours of the bars.

Sources from the Ministry of Health later clarified that the care situation in the region is very different from that experienced in the first blows of the pandemic and that the areas with more cases of infected are very controlled. From this Area they explain that next week they will intensify the preparation of PCR in the hot zones of the virus,

Thus, Health will continue to seek to diagnose asymptomatic Covid-19 in Madrid capital and the towns of Fuenlabrada (on Thursday) and Parla (on Friday). In the capital's neighborhoods, the PCR offer will be Carabanchel on Monday, Usera on Tuesday, Villaverde on Wednesday and Puente de Vallecas on Saturday. As reported this Friday by the regional Executive, as it has done this week, Health will summon 1,500 Madrilenians from specific groups between 15 to 49 years old, among which a greater transmission is observed, through SMS messages.

Together and with provisional data, the percentage of participants who have tested positive for the Covid-19 infection in recent days is 2.8%. In total, the Community of Madrid has carried out more than one million PCR tests since the beginning of the pandemic.
