Russian opponent Alexei Navalny can be transported, Russian doctors say

The Russian hospital where the opponent Alexeï Navalny was admitted gave its agreement for his evacuation, considering that his condition was now "stable", while a plane chartered by a German NGO was waiting at Omsk airport ( Western Siberia).

We have decided not to oppose his transfer to another hospital, the one designated by his relatives,  " Anatoly Kalinichenko, deputy director of Omsk No.1 emergency hospital, told reporters. specifying that "if the state is stable  ".

Main opponent of the Kremlin, whose publications denouncing the corruption of Russian elites are widely shared on social networks, Alexeï Navalny, 44, was hospitalized Thursday, placed in intensive care and connected to an artificial ventilator, after being unwell in a plane. He is currently in a coma.

France and Germany had both offered Thursday "  any medical aid  " to the opponent, while calling for light to be shed on the circumstances that led to his hospitalization. His allies said they believed he had been the victim of "  intentional poisoning  ", "  with something mixed with his tea  ".

Earlier in the day on Friday, Doctor Kalinichenko and the head doctor of the hospital, Alexander Murakhovsky, had judged that the “unstable” state of the patient did not allow his transfer abroad.

The family and allies of Mr. Navalny, 44, had described the refusal as a "  threat to the life  " of the opponent, while a medical plane chartered by an NGO landed in Omsk on Friday, with the hope of bring it to Germany.

His wife, Yulia Navalnaya, asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to allow her husband's transfer to Germany, in a letter posted on Twitter.
