On August 20, local time, US President Trump’s former political adviser Steve Bannon was arrested. The prosecutor accused him of fraud in fundraising activities for the US Southern Border Wall project. Later, Bannon pleaded not guilty in a court hearing. In an interview with this incident, Trump said, "I don't know anything about that project." Trump said he felt "very bad" and called it a "sorrowful thing."

Bannon was the head of Trump's presidential campaign, and later was the chief strategist of the White House. He left the White House in August 2017. In early 2018, Trump issued a statement criticizing Bannon for "losing his mind" when he left office, saying that Bannon "has nothing to do with himself or his presidency." (Edit Chi Hanyu)
