Alexei Navalny is in the Omsk emergency hospital No. 1 for the second day. According to the regional Ministry of Health, he remains in a consistently serious condition.

On Friday, August 21, specialists from the National Medical and Surgical Center arrived in Omsknamed after N.I. Pirogov and the National Medical Research Center for Neurosurgery named after Academician N.N. Burdenko. They were invited by regional specialists and the patient's relatives.

An extended consultation was held. On the agenda was the question of Navalny's transportability. As a result of the consultation, the head physician of the hospital, Alexander Murakhovsky, said that the patient's condition had "improved somewhat," but there was no "clear stability" yet.

"His condition remains unstable, the issue of transportation is still premature - it is necessary to achieve complete stabilization of the patient," said Murakhovsky, adding that doctors cannot allow transportation under the responsibility of relatives if the patient's condition raises concerns.

He also noted that determining the diagnosis for Navalny may take another two days, five options are being considered: “We currently have five working diagnoses. Unfortunately, I cannot name them, because there is a federal law. But I can say that they are all workers, we work out all of them. "

The head physician of the hospital added that so far all tests carried out in the chemical and toxicological laboratory have shown negative results for the tested spectrum of substances. Thus, he commented on the reports of a dangerous substance allegedly found in Navalny's body.

Earlier, the director of the Anti-Corruption Foundation * Ivan Zhdanov, referring to a "representative of the transport police", announced the discovery of a deadly substance. Navalny's wife, Julia, said that she did not trust the doctors of the BSMP-1 in the city of Omsk.

In turn, Anatoly Kalinichenko, deputy chief physician of the emergency hospital, denied information about the alleged presence of poisonous substances in Navalny's blood.

“No poisons or traces of their presence in the body have been identified. Probably, the diagnosis "poisoning" remains somewhere in the subcortex of our consciousness. But we do not believe that the patient suffered the poisoning, ”he said.

The German edition Bild, citing its own sources, reported that a special medical board flew out of Nuremberg last night, which can take Navalny for treatment to a hospital in Berlin.

Let us remind you that the day before an S7 Airlines plane made an emergency landing at the Omsk airport (Tsentralny), which was flying Tomsk - Moscow. On board was Alexei Navalny, who became ill during the flight.

The man was hospitalized, he was unconscious. All necessary examinations and treatment were started, the patient was connected to a ventilator. According to a RT source, by 11:00 local time on August 20, Navalny was in a coma.

“Now poisoning with sodium oxybutyrate is supposed ... Navalny's supporters believe that the poisoning took place at the Tomsk airport. There is information that he had been drinking energy drinks before, ”the source said.

According to him, sodium oxybutyrate is included in the list of psychotropic substances, the circulation of which in Russia is limited. The substance is very salty, but it is colorless and odorless. It is used in general anesthesia, as well as in neurology and ophthalmology.

According to some reports, the doctors working with Navalny in the emergency hospital №1 in Omsk were signed on not to disclose the details of his condition.

On the eve of the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov expressed the hope that the opposition figure will get better. According to him, the Russian authorities will provide assistance if Navalny needs medical treatment abroad.

“If they turn to the Kremlin, or turn to the Ministry of Health, or turn to any department, naturally, many Russian citizens - even these days even though the borders are closed - they go abroad for treatment. Of course, we will be ready to consider very quickly such appeals, if any, ”he added.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron, following talks at Fort Bregancon, expressed concern over the incident. The heads of state also expressed their readiness to receive Navalny in medical institutions in their countries.

“The information we have at the moment is of utmost concern and we will continue to monitor the situation very closely. We discussed this with the Chancellor and are ready to provide all the necessary support to Alexei Navalny, his relatives in terms of medicine, asylum and protection, "said Macron.

In turn, US President Donald Trump said that the American authorities are monitoring the situation around Navalny. White House National Security Assistant Robert O'Brien later told Fox News that Washington would "closely monitor" developments.

The United Nations also expressed concern and wished Navalny a speedy recovery.

"Any allegations of possible poisoning, if confirmed, must be investigated," said UN Secretary General's spokesman Stephane Dujarrick.
