The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Anwar Gargash, confirmed yesterday that the UAE-Israeli peace treaty received a positive view towards innovative and bold solutions to the region's crises.
Gargash said in a tweet on his account on the social networking site "Twitter", saying: "In my meeting with the Atlantic Council in Washington, an opportunity to explain the UAE's regional policy and its recent decision on normal relations with Israel."
He added, "Great support from the international community for this step, and a positive outlook towards innovative and bold solutions to the region's crises."
Gargash had called on the Palestinians to continue negotiations, stressing that the peace treaty preserved the two-state solution and stopped the Israeli annexation plan for lands in the West Bank.
In a previous interview with the American CNN channel, Gargash added that the peace treaty with Israel stopped the Israeli annexation plan, indicating that the plan was a ticking time bomb, and stressed that the peace treaty is a historic breakthrough that allows confidence building.
