It was on May 2 this year that the man is said to have abused another man in a town in Värnamo municipality by hitting him several times with an open hand in the head. The man is also said to have threatened to kill the man and a person close to him.

The man with links to Bandidos has admitted assault, but opposed the heading grossly illegal threats. He has also denied the heading abuse in court and has stated that he did not intend to prevent a police report from being made.

Exempted from threats against an official

The Court of Appeal convicts the man of assault and assault in court. The court chooses to convict him of unlawful threats and not, as in the district court, grossly unlawful threats.

The district court also convicted the man for threatening a social secretary in the municipality. The man is acquitted of that charge by the Court of Appeal.

Just as in the Court of Appeal, the man is also sentenced to pay damages totaling SEK 17,000 to the two victims.

The man must remain in custody until the verdict becomes final.
