In the US, California, the coronavirus infectious disease-19 (Corona 19) crisis is amid the heatwave, large forest fire, and air pollution.

The Daily New York Times (NYT) reported that the'LNU lightning complex fire', the most severely damaged fire group in the northern and central part of California, doubled and the damage area expanded to 131,000 acres (approximately 530 km2). It was reported on the 20th (local time).

The wildfires surrounding Lake Verijessa, about 64 kilometers west of Sacramento, California, threaten the city of Backerville, a city of 100,000 people.

It has already burned down 105 houses and other buildings, and 3,500 other buildings are in danger, according to the California State Fire Department (Calfire).

In addition, Travis Air Force Base in Solano County ordered all non-essential personnel to evacuate and temporarily closed Highway 80 north of the base.

About 14,000 active duty soldiers and reservists are on duty at the base, 16 km southeast of Backerville.

On the night of the 19th, Sonoma County, which is in the affected area of the forest fire, issued an evacuation warning in Healdsburg, a population of 12,000.

Two people died during this fire extinguishing process.

A pilot who was driving a helicopter to drop water was killed in a helicopter crash in Fresno County, and an electrical and gas company Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) employee was also killed while clearing wires for firefighters in Solano County.

An evacuation order was also issued in some areas of San Jose due to the'SCU lightning complex fire' that occurred in the east of Silicon Valley where high-tech information technology (IT) companies are concentrated.

These wildfires have burned 137,000,475 acres (about 556 km2) so far, but fortunately, most are not densely populated areas.

In addition, the CZU August Lightning Complex Fire, which occurred in the southwest of Silicon Valley, caused extensive damage to Big Basin Redwood State Park, the oldest state park in California.

This provincial park is famous for its 128km-sized walking trail through magnificent redwood forests that are 1,000 to 2,000 years old, but this forest fire destroyed the headquarters of the state park and the campsite.

According to the state of California, more than 24 parks have been partially or completely closed due to wildfires.

The damage caused by the CZU fire expanded to 40,000 acres (about 162 km2) by the morning of the day, and 28,000 residents left their homes and evacuated.

According to Calfire, nearly 350,000 acres (approximately 1,416 km2) have been burned so far due to large wildfires in northern and central California.

It is much more than twice the total area of Seoul (605㎢).

Many of the wildfires started with lightning embers in the heat of the heat and then spread with the wind.

As the heatwave and windy weather continue, new wildfires are created, and wildfires are united to grow power.

Accordingly, on the 19th, only 24 large wildfires were reported, and 300 other small wildfires were burning forests everywhere.

Tens of thousands of residents were evacuated by forest fires.

As the smoke from the forest fire spread, the air quality deteriorated significantly.

The air quality in the San Francisco Bay area has improved from the previous day, but some areas, such as Backerville, are still'bad for health'.

Even far from the forest fire, the atmosphere smells nasty and ashes are accumulating in the car or backyard.

The Corona 19 incident is also changing the scenery of shelters.

In Riverside, Nevada and Contracosta County, California, many evacuees were sent to emergency hotels instead of high school gymnasiums, which are usually used as shelters.

An official from Fuente, a social organization that supports evacuated residents, said that it is beyond the reach of helping evacuees amid the Corona 19 crisis, and is asking people to keep social distance.
