“The very phrase“ return of Crimea ”, which Ukrainian politicians have been repeating almost every day since March 2014, is high time to enter into the political dictionary as a term denoting empty and senseless projecting, ritual propaganda incantations that replace real politics,” Aksyonov said.

He also added that Zelensky's rhetoric and behavior in relation to Crimea "repeat to the smallest detail" the actions of the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

Earlier, Zelensky, during a trip to the Kherson region, said that Crimea "will definitely return" to Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stressed that the issue of Crimea is closed for Russia.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
