A vast drug trafficking which notably supplied the secondary schools of Caen was dismantled this summer in Calvados. According to the authorities, around thirty establishments were thus “supplied”. More than a dozen people have been arrested since last June, reports  Liberté Caen .

Two young people aged 18 and 19 were to be tried on Wednesday by the Caen Criminal Court. Their trial is the culmination of a long investigation by the region's gendarmes, which began in January 2019.

Liters of "fart your skull"

On June 15, after months of observation and investigation, several gendarmerie platoons intervened and arrested eight people. During searches of their homes, a large stock of drugs was discovered: 1.4 kg of ecstasy, 300 grams of cannabis resin, four feet of cannabis and six liters of PTC ("Pète ton crâne"), a drug. synthetic derived from cannabis in liquid form.

Additional investigations during the summer of 2020 led to the arrest on Monday of four other people. Among them, the two young people who must be tried, suspected of being the main actors in this trafficking.
