On Tuesday, Joe Biden officially won the nomination of his Democratic party to compete with President Donald Trump in the US presidential elections scheduled for November 3.

As expected, the majority of the Democratic delegates voted for the former Vice President, on the second day of the Democratic National Convention hosted by Milwaukee (North), and its proceedings are being held virtually due to the Corona epidemic (Covid-19).

After the voting results were announced, Biden (77 years) thanked the two conferences in a direct video message, adding, "This means the world to me and my family! I meet you Thursday" (tomorrow) when he will officially accept the nomination speech on the fourth and final day of the conference.

Criticism of Trump

During the conference, former President Bill Clinton, 73, gave a speech in which he said that as the country plunges into a serious economic and health crisis, "the Oval Office must be a command center. But instead, it is the eye of the storm. There is nothing but chaos in it." .

In turn, former President Jimmy Carter (95 years) gave a speech in which he praised Biden's merits, especially his "experience, personality and courtesy", considering him the person who is able to "unite us and restore America's greatness."

The second day of the conference, titled "Leadership Matters," aimed to prove that Biden would represent a return to normalcy after the "chaos" of Republican President Donald Trump's administration, Clinton said.

"At a time like this, the Oval Office should be a command center ... it is instead the epicenter of a storm. There is just chaos. Only one thing does not change, his insistence on denying responsibility and blaming," Clinton added in a recorded video.

He splashed with Obama's wife

Earlier, former First Lady Michelle Obama harshly criticized Trump in an enthusiastic speech that ended the first night of the Democratic National Convention, urging Americans to support Biden to end the chaos that she said had gripped the country during the Trump presidency.

The wife of former President Barack Obama confirmed that Trump "took the time to prove that he can do the job," but he was not up to the responsibility in a country beset by the Corona pandemic, economic turmoil and racial grievances, she said. She described him as an "incompetent" president.

In turn, Trump responded to what was said by Michelle Obama and said in two tweets on Twitter that his predecessor's administration was "the most corrupt" in the country's history, accusing it of spying on his 2016 election campaign, describing it as treason and "the biggest political scandal in the history of our country."

The US President said that Obama and Vice President Joe Biden dealt with the swine flu crisis was weak, but their administration had the support of the corrupt media, as he put it.
