He said this after the end of the extraordinary EU summit on the issue of Belarus.

“To a large extent, the economy of Belarus relies on the purchase of raw materials from Russia at prices, one might say, preferential. At least that was until recently. And a gradual change in this economic model has largely led to the economic weakening of Belarus, ”RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Moravetsky noted that this is "significant losses for Belarus, but at the same time the possibility of holding an action of assistance from the European Union."

According to him, the EU could "develop appropriate mechanisms by which the dependence of Belarus on Russia will be less."

“This is in the interests of Belarus, it is in the interests of Poland and the European Union,” the Polish prime minister said.

Earlier, Poland's Deputy Foreign Minister Pavel Yablonski called on the EU to offer Belarus an alternative to cooperation with Russia.

Also, Poland began to provide an opportunity to quickly cross the border for Belarusians who wish to leave the country.
