A 33-year-old man was sentenced Monday by the Bourg-en-Bresse (Ain) criminal court to three years in prison, including eighteen months suspended for sexual assault on two minors. The defendant, who was not present at the hearing, had taken advantage of his work as a babysitter to abuse the children, then aged 3 and 5, reports Le Progrès .

The facts date back to September 2018. The young man was recruited by a family, living in a town near the Saône, via a famous website connecting parents and nannies. His mission was to take the two children to school but, from the first day, the parents are alerted by the establishment that their toddlers are not present. Panicked, they send a neighbor to check the house. The children were naked. One of the two victims will recount having painted the sex of the babysitter and having drunk beer.

The attacker had partially admitted the facts. In addition to his prison sentence, he was sanctioned with a definitive ban from exercising an activity related to children.
