The work of the US Democratic Party’s four-day general conference on the Internet continues to nominate the party’s candidate for the presidential elections, and upon its signature, accusations and criticisms were exchanged between former First Lady Michelle Obama and Republican President Donald Trump.

Trump responded to what was said by Michelle Obama on the first day of the conference that began on Monday, and said in two tweets on Twitter that the administration of his predecessor Barack Obama was "the most corrupt" in the country's history, accusing it of spying on his 2016 election campaign, and he described it as Treason and "the biggest political scandal in the history of our country."

The US President said that Obama and Vice President Joe Biden - who is competing with Trump in the upcoming elections - dealt with the swine flu crisis was weak, but their administration had the support of the corrupt media, as he put it.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama criticized Trump in an enthusiastic speech that ended the first night of the Democratic National Convention, in which she urged Americans to support Democratic candidate Joe Biden in the elections scheduled for November 3 to end the chaos that she said had prevailed. The country is in the Trump presidency.

The wife of the former president confirmed that Trump "took the time to prove that he can do the job," but he was not up to the responsibility in a country beset by the Corona pandemic, economic turmoil and racial grievances, as she said. She described him as an "incompetent" president.

Michelle Obama urged Americans to vote for Biden, "because at the moment, people who know they cannot win fairly at the polls are doing their best to stop us from voting."

"They close polling stations in minority neighborhoods. They send people to intimidate voters. They even lie about the integrity of the ballot papers. These tactics are not new, but this is not the time to block our votes in protest or to manipulate candidates who have no chance of winning."

The Democratic Party conference is being held amid public safety concerns when the presidential poll is held in November due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

Democrats are urging the adoption of voting by mail as the safe alternative, but Trump says this exposes votes to manipulation, and he has stopped an urgent subsidy to the Postal Service in order to limit voting by it.

The Democrats canceled arrangements for their national convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and decided to hold it via the Internet with the participation of party delegates and dignitaries.

The party is scheduled to officially announce during the conference the nomination of former US Vice President Joe Biden for the presidential elections, and Senator Kamala Harris as vice president.

Democrats and Republicans against Trump

In a sign that more politicians are lining up to defeat Trump, former Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders and prominent Republican John Cassek, during the Democratic Conference, expressed their support for Joe Biden.

In his speech on the first day of the conference, Sanders said, "Joe Biden will end the hatred and division that Trump has spread, and stop the demonization of immigrants, the pampering of white nationalists, racist calls, religious intolerance and the ugly attack on women."

Sanders considered that the upcoming presidential election is the most important in modern American history.
