Participation in the Palestine Provisional Autonomous Government Dubai Expo 20th August, 18:30

The Palestinian Interim Government opposes Israel and UAE's agreement to normalize diplomatic relations and has decided to forgo its participation in the UAE's first international expo in Dubai next year.

Israel and UAE agreed on the 13th of this month to normalize diplomatic relations through the intermediary of the United States.

The Arab States such as the UAE have been supporting Palestinians in conflict with Israel in the Palestinian issue, and the Palestinian Transitional Government has repelled this agreement.

Against this backdrop, the Palestinian Interim Government held a cabinet meeting on the 17th and decided not to participate in the UAE international expo "Dubai Expo" to be held in Dubai next autumn.

In a cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Steyer blamed, "This agreement is clearly contrary to the Arab consensus on Israeli occupation and could encourage Israeli settlement activities."

The "Dubai Expo" is the first international expo to be held in the Middle East, and the Palestinian Interim Government is likely to appeal to its position against Israel and the UAE agreement on normalization of diplomatic relations by expressing its non-participation. ..
