41 deputies in the Kuwaiti National Assembly (out of 50) signed a statement confirming that Kuwaitis of all sects will not accept any retreat from their government's commitment to the first Arab and Muslim cause.

In an official statement, the representatives called on the government of their country to affirm Kuwait's firm stance against normalization with Israel.

The parliamentarians affirmed their solidarity with the steadfast and steadfast Palestinian people, recalling the parliament's stable and continuous position against normalization with Israel in all its forms.

The statement added that the Kuwaiti people will continue to strengthen the political leadership in its "courageous, steadfast and continuous" stance towards the issue over the years.

In the context, Kuwaiti citizens called to organize a stand in front of the Palestinian embassy this evening, to emphasize the Kuwaiti solidarity with the rights of the violated Palestinian people, and to reject normalization with the Israeli occupation.

These popular moves come after Jared Kushner, son-in-law and advisor to US President Donald Trump, described Kuwait's stance in favor of the Palestinians as hard-line and unconstructive.

Kushner's criticism,
the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Nahar quoted the US embassy in the country as saying that "Jared Kushner is a high-level representative of the President of the United States, and that his point of view reflects the opinion of the American administration."

The embassy’s statement came to the newspaper in response to a question about whether Jared Kushner, an advisor to the US President, considered the Kuwaiti position on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict strict, and that Kuwait’s support for the Palestinians was not constructive out of personal conviction or represented the opinion of the US administration.

And on the American vision of Kuwait’s position on the UAE’s normalization with Israel, the embassy said, "We respect Kuwait's sovereignty and its desire to make decisions based on the requirements of its own interests."

The embassy added that it sees in the recent agreement a historic breakthrough between the UAE and Israel, and an important step that was taken for the first time in a quarter of a century to achieve peace in the Middle East.

The embassy considered that the agreement is a basis for achieving further progress towards regional peace, as it supports the United States' vision of peace as a basis for a comprehensive, just and lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

To date, the Kuwaiti government has not issued a position on the US President’s announcement that the UAE and Israel have reached an agreement to normalize relations.

Last Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced that the UAE and Israel had reached an agreement to normalize relations, which he described as "historic", while the Palestinian leadership promised it through a statement "a betrayal of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa and the Palestinian cause."
