Rescue teams found new skeletal remains this Monday morning in the same area where on Sunday they found a human tibia, along with textile material, which could belong to one of the two workers who disappeared in the collapse of the landfill in Zaldibar ( Vizcaya ) on February 6.

The new remains found are being the object of an anthropological survey on the ground by the scientific police and forensics, as sources from the Basque Government's Security Department have informed Efe.

The search has been resumed with "surgical" methods, so that each shovel removed by the excavators is meticulously analyzed by the operators.

On the other hand, the lehendakari , Iñigo Urkullu, has met this Monday in Bilbao with relatives of Alberto Sololuce , one of the two disappeared in the collapse of the landfill, to whom he has informed about the progress of the search work.

The meeting was attended by Sololuce's widow and daughter, but the relatives of the other disappeared, Joaquín Beltrán , did not want to be present . According to the same sources, the two families were informed on Sunday afternoon of the discovery of the first skeletal remains in the landfill.
