Because of the coronavirus epidemic, some French people have had to postpone their holidays and agree to leave at the end of August. Europe 1 followed a family of Augustans on their way to the Opal Coast, near Lille, for a well-deserved vacation.

Some French people have bet on the last fortnight of August to take advantage of their vacation. While some of them have chosen this period to benefit from cheaper rentals and less frequentation of tourist places, others have no choice because of the health crisis linked to the Covid epidemic. -19. This is the case of Sarah and Benjamin, parents of two children, who go to Templeuve, near Lille.

Sarah, Benjamin and their two children take the direction of the family apartment on the Opal Coast, an hour and a half away. "Because of the current health situation, we did not book anything for the holidays. I did not even know if I was going to have any so we did not want to take any risks," explains the mother. "I had just asked my parents to reserve these fortnight for me in case I had any leave. And it was," she adds. 

Take time for yourself 

This liberal nurse will be able to breathe during these two weeks of rest. "My patients have told me that I am well deserving of my vacation and that they are very happy for me. It made me happy. I am going to have time for myself and my family. It has been a long time since it was done. not arrived, "says Sarah, who has not taken a vacation for a year. The last few months have indeed not been easy because of the coronavirus epidemic and scorching temperatures. For this family, the coast will therefore be the perfect place to unwind.
