Last night, the police received an alarm that a man was walking around with an electric pistol in the middle of the community in Jämjö. The man is said to have been seen inside a shop and a person has then alerted the police.
- The person who called in and told this thought it was unpleasant, says the police's internal commander Jonatan Hillborg about the incident.
The police were later able to search the house of a suspect, where they found a so-called Taser. That is, a form of electric shock weapon.
A man in his 20s is now suspected of violating the gun law.
