According to the press service of Promsvyazbank, it will be possible to withdraw money or replenish the card in a grocery store without going to the bank branch. The bank believes that the service will be in demand in remote and small settlements.

The article says that Ak Bars Bank, DOM.RF and the Crimean RNKB are also considering the possibility of participating in the project, but the terms have not yet been set.

According to a Visa representative, the payment system is discussing the implementation of the corresponding service with market participants. He did not specify whether pilot projects are expected in the near future.

The Central Bank confirmed that the possibility of replenishing bank cards at the cash desks of stores is currently being discussed.

“The Bank of Russia regards the service of replenishing cards at cash desks as very promising in terms of increasing financial availability in remote and sparsely populated regions,” the Central Bank said.
