Closing a school in Kalba due to its poor quality

The Sharjah Special Education Authority closed the Coast School in Kalba due to the decline in the level of education in it, and its "poor" rating, in addition to not implementing the development plans that were set during the last academic year.

The Director General of the Authority, Ali Al Hosani, stated in statements yesterday to the "live broadcast" that the Ministry of Education closed the school itself in 2018, and then it turned to an investor to develop a plan to develop the school, giving him the opportunity, and after appointing experts to develop schools for the year 2019. / 2020, the Commission gave the school’s performance a careful follow-up in order to develop it. However, periodic reports from supervision and expert teams showed a decline in the school’s educational performance, in addition to the low level of safety and security measures, in which it received a “limited” evaluation. He added that the authority decided to close the school to ensure the safety of its students, pointing out that students were distributed to three other schools, during the implementation of the distance education system in the third semester of the school year ending.

He noted that the Authority, in cooperation with the Sharjah Education Council, developed and rehabilitated a school building affiliated with the Ministry of Education, and that it will be opened in the Kalba area to teach the ministerial curriculum that students were studying in the private school, until they are transferred to it, with the beginning of the next academic year.
