The foreign ministries of many countries in the world issued statements of support and welcoming the step they described as a "milestone" in the path of strengthening regional and global peace, amid commendations of the active Emirati role in this regard.
International positions in favor of the treaty emphasized the importance of the step that came at a sensitive time, in which the region was in dire need of courageous initiatives capable of defusing the explosion and clash towards which the peace process was heading, noting the contribution of the treaty to opening horizons towards a new stage in which direct negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians would resume. .
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, welcomed the peace treaty between the UAE and Israel under the auspices of the United States of America, praising the joint statement on the agreement to stop Israel's annexation of Palestinian lands and take steps to bring peace to the Middle East.
He expressed his hope that this step would create an opportunity for Palestinian and Israeli leaders to re-engage in meaningful negotiations that would achieve a two-state solution in line with relevant UN resolutions, international law and bilateral agreements.

The statement added: We will remain committed to the establishment of a comprehensive and lasting peace in the entire region, and are ready to work for this purpose with our regional and international partners, and the High Representative of the European Union considered Israel's commitment to suspend plans to unilaterally annex areas of the occupied Palestinian territories as a positive step.
