On July 28, the Saint-Nazaire police station and the narcotics brigade of the Nantes judicial police branch carried out a vast operation in a district close to the scene of the shooting, La Bouletterie, with the support of the Raid. Eight men suspected of being involved in drug trafficking were arrested on July 28, according to Saint-Nazaire public prosecutor Sylvie Canovas-Lagarde. More than 90,000 euros, 525 g of heroin, 38 g of cocaine and 94 g of cannabis were also seized. The investigation was entrusted to the criminal brigade of the Nantes judicial police branch.
