“Of course, the volunteers will not be hospitalized beforehand. Everyone will come from home and go home, ”said Gunzburg.

According to him, blood will be taken from volunteers on the first day of testing to compare the increase in antibodies. The next blood sample will be taken 21 days after the first vaccination. Twenty-one days after the second vaccination, the volunteers are once again tested for blood.

At the same time, Gunzburg added that there is still no final protocol for post-registration studies. The head of the Gamaleya center suggested that these tests would be easier than the previous stages.

Gunzburg also said that the release of the amount of coronavirus vaccine necessary for Russians could take from nine to 12 months.

On August 11, Russian leader Vladimir Putin announced the registration of the COVID-19 vaccine in Russia. It was named "Sputnik V".
