A small American startup using a fruit-shaped logo is involved in a lawsuit against a dinosaur company.

On the 11th local time, the BBC and other foreign media reported that Apple is in a legal dispute by filing a trademark infringement lawsuit against Prepear.

Freepair is a small business with just 5 employees with a cooking app that helps you prepare food, plan meals, buy groceries, and more. It uses a logo that resembles'Pear', which is part of the name, and Apple has argued that "the shape of a pear is similar to Apple's logo, causing harm to the brand."

The Freepair side has no intention of imitating Apple's logo, and Apple's actions are confronting it, saying it is domineering to small businesses. "The'fruit logos' of many small and medium-sized businesses have been changed or abandoned," he said. "We feel a moral obligation to fight big companies."

"It's a very scary experience to be legally attacked by one of the world's largest companies, even though there's nothing wrong with it," he said.

As the case has become public, local netizens are disagreeing with opinions as "similar" or "Apple's tyranny". In the midst of this, the pre-pair side started an online petition campaign, "Please save the'pear' from the'apple'," and is currently gaining the consent of more than 70,000 people.
