On the same day, the 4th Future Network Development Conference opened in Nanjing. Yang Changfeng gave a keynote speech during the meeting, introducing the latest situation of China's Beidou satellite navigation system development and integration application.
On July 31, the Beidou-3 global satellite navigation system was officially opened, marking the successful completion of Beidou's "three-step" development strategy and Beidou entering a new era of global service.
Since the establishment of the Beidou No. 1 project in 1994, the Beidou project has been implemented step by step in accordance with the development concept of "region first, global second, active first, passive second" for 26 years, forming a regionally prominent, global-oriented, and distinctive Beidou system The development path provides a "Chinese solution" for the development of the world's satellite navigation system.
"Our 20-odd years have gone through the road that we have (spent) over 40 years abroad." Yang Changfeng said that at present, Beidou provides positioning and navigation timing, global short message communication, and international search and rescue services to the world. Domestic Beidou products have been exported to more than 120 countries and regions. The application of Beidou technology is in full bloom, and it has been or is being implemented in the fields of transportation, e-commerce logistics, autonomous driving, precision agriculture, marine fishery, earthquake relief, food safety, and smart tourism.
"Fishermen all say'one worship Mazu, and two Beidou'", Yang Changfeng said, using Beidou short messages to track, monitor and manage offshore fishing vessels, intelligently manage entry and exit, and emergency command and dispatch, which can quickly deal with vessel hazards and search and rescue personnel. At present, more than 70,000 fishing boats and law enforcement boats across the country have installed Beidou terminals, helping more than 10,000 people in total. Beidou became the "sea protection god" of fishermen.
This year, the Beidou system also provided hard-core support for the fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic, including precise spraying of disinfectant by drones, precise logistics distribution, and digital construction of hospitals.
Yang Changfeng said that at present, Beidou is "entering" mobile phones, tablet computers, shared bicycles and other products, flying into the homes of ordinary people. With the development of technologies such as chip miniaturization, radio frequency baseband integration, and the extensive integration of satellite navigation IP cores and mobile communications, Beidou technology will fully enter the lives of the people.
"The development goal of Beidou system, my summary is two sentences: first, to achieve a world-class satellite navigation system, and second, to achieve an output value of 400 billion yuan in 2020." Yang Changfeng said. (Finish)
