After several wolf attacks on sheep in Gnosjö, Gislaved and Tranemo, among others, during the summer, the county administrative boards in the two counties decided on protection hunting.

Following appeals from several organizations, the administrative court first chose to stop the hunt, but changed after a new attack when six sheep were killed, and allowed the protection hunt to continue pending the final decision.

The appeals are now rejected with reference to, among other things, the risk of new attacks, according to P4 Jönköping

As recently as the night before Thursday, a new attack took place when a lamb was killed, but this time in Vaggeryd municipality.
