Sudan .. An explosion in a military facility shakes Khartoum

Sudanese media said that a huge explosion rocked the capital, Khartoum, on Friday evening.

There were reports of explosions in an ammunition store belonging to a Sudanese camp in Al-Shajarah, south of Khartoum.

While the pioneers of social media circulated a video that they said was of a large explosion in the Al-Shajara area in the capital, Khartoum.

And the Sudanese Civil Defense announced that the fire at the arms store had been controlled.

The Sudanese Ministry of Interior confirmed that no injuries occurred as a result of the accident.

A security source stated that the fire broke out in a store of "Dushka ammunition (heavy machine guns)".

Earlier, eyewitnesses reported that the police cordoned off the Al Shajarah area, south of Khartoum, where the explosion occurred, after they heard an explosion.

The explosion coincides with the Armed Forces celebrations of its 66th anniversary.

The cause of the explosion was not known yet, except that a number of citizens gathered in the main street at a time when firefighting vehicles were working to extinguish the fire.
